Huawei is now one of the most prominent mobile phone companies in the entire world. Since their venture in the mobile phone industry, the Chinese mobile phone company has created a plethora of phones that cater to the consumers’ needs.
Today, we are going to talk about the Huawei Y6. This phone is a good budget-friendly phone from Huawei and we will talk all about the phone in this article.
The Huawei Y6 sports a simple design. The white version of the phone almost looks similar to that of Apple’s iPhones. The thickness of the phone is at 14.3mm which is a little bit on the thick side but it does add a little bit of protection to the phone.
The power and volume controls are situated on the right side of the device and they actually provide a good tactile feedback to them. It’s as if you can discern which button you’ve pressed even without looking at the phone.
As for the display, the Huawei Y6 comes with a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280×720 and a pixel count of 294ppi. Although it is a little bit underwhelming in terms of the resolution, it is still pretty much okay for most media consumption. Also, the lower resolution screen will help to improve the phone’s battery life.
The camera of the Huawei Y6 is a little bit on the low side. It comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera and only a 2-megapixel front camera. The rear camera does have an LED flash and it also comes with optical image stabilization.
The default camera app is pretty standard stuff as it comes with the usual HDR, Panorama, and other default camera options. The camera app is also a little bit snappy and I do not see any lag when using the camera app at all.
If you are looking to take selfies with this phone, however, the front camera is disappointing. It only has a 2-megapixel sensor which produces grainy and noisy images. You may want to take photos using the rear camera instead (although, this can be problematic for some people).
For the performance, the Huawei Y6 comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset. This is a quad-core processor with clock speeds of 1.1GHz. It also comes with the Adreno 304 Graphics processing Unit and 1GB of RAM.
Since this is a budget-friendly phone, the specs are to be expected. It does run applications really, however, if you’re the type of person who does a lot of multitasking, this phone may not be suited for you.
Even though the Huawei Y6 is a budget-friendly phone, it does support 4G LTE signals. If you want to get the most out of it, you may want to get a mobile phone signal booster to ensure that the phone gets enough signals.
The Huawei Y6 is a budget-friendly option from Huawei and I think it is pretty good. The camera and the performance is a little bit underwhelming, but this phone can be a daily driver.
Android mobile phones have become ubiquitous now. It is either you own an Apple iPhone or you own an Android-powered mobile phone.
In today’s article, we will delve into the 4 exciting Android mobile phone features and why I personally think these are the things you should consider when buying your next phone.
I’ve tried both Apple iPhones and Android mobile phones and both of them have advantages and disadvantages and both of them have their own unique set of features. But for the purpose of this article, I will just focus more on what’s exciting about the new Android features.
So, without further ado, here are the 4 exciting Android Mobile phone features:
- Quick Charge- Nothing is more annoying than your mobile phone dying on you. There are a lot of mobile phones nowadays that have really great hardware specs, but they often overlook the battery because of these. Luckily, mobile phone manufacturers are scrambling to create phones that have a quick charge capability. The quick charge capability is already available for Android mobile phones, although as of the time being, you may need to buy a special separate charger to be able to enjoy this feature. In the future, mobile phone manufacturers might include a fast charger right out of the box.
- Heart-Rate Monitor- No matter how technologically advance the human race can get, we still need to take care of our health. We do this by doing physical activities such as walking, running, or lifting weights. Most Android phones nowadays come with a heart-rate monitor. These heart-rate monitors will help you keep track of your heart health so that you can be healthier than ever before. The heart-rate monitors that are found on new mobile phones are surprisingly accurate, so if you want to get a head-start on being healthy, get an Android mobile phone.
- Kill Switch- Your Android mobile phone, complete with impressive specs and stylish looks, is a good candidate of being stolen. A lot of mobile phones get stolen each and every day. Mobile phone companies know this that is why they teamed up with Google to create an Android feature that allows them to lock their devices so no other person can use it. This is known as the Kill Switch or Device Protection. Should your mobile phone get stolen, the person who stole it cannot use your mobile phone because it will need your Google account credentials to access it. Pretty nifty feature, huh?
- More intuitive Notifications- Your Android mobile phone is much more useful now compared to what it was before. That is why notifications are far more important nowadays. In the Android Lollipop version, the notifications area is now vastly improved and it is now more intuitive than ever before. You can now see notifications without unlocking your phone and this feature is now on by default.
There are going to be new and exciting features that will be released in the near future, but for now, these are the features that I find to be very useful and exciting. If you own an Android mobile phone, be sure to check these features out!
